据 AppleInsider 报道，本周三苹果向一些媒体发出了「特别媒体活动」邀请，预计苹果将在下周三的特别媒体活动上发布新一代 iPod 系列产品，并对 Apple TV 进行更新。
下图是苹果发出的邀请电子邮件，一把带有苹果 logo 的吉他，或许已经点明了此次发布会的主题——音乐、iPod ，与往年一样仍将是 9 月特别媒体活动的主题。
根据该邀请邮件，活动将于太平洋时间 9 月 1 日上午 10:00 （北京时间 9 月 2 日凌晨 1:00 ）在旧金山芳草地艺术中心（Yerba Buena Center for the Arts ）举行。
此前彭博的报道称，此次特别媒体活动计划的时间是 9 月 7 日，与往年类似，比如去年是 9 月 9 日举办的。但今年，苹果似乎将 iPod 发布会的日程提前了一周。
不过，此次的邀请邮件中还没有显示出此次发布会的 slogan , 08 年 iPod 发布会的标语是「Let’s Rock」，09 年的是「It’s Only Rock and
Roll」，今年的又会是什么呢？
